Baseball Recap: Eastern Comes Up Short

Eastern couldn't beat Field on Thursday even though they stacked four runs on them in the third inning. The Ramblers came up short against the Falcons, falling 17-7. The Ramblers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Aaron Williams made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with five stolen bases, two runs, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last nine games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Rasheed Hardy, who got on base in both of his plate appearances with four stolen bases and two runs.

Eastern's loss dropped their record down to 8-6-1. As for Field, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-4-1 record this season.

Eastern will square off against Southern Maryland Christian Academy at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Field, they will face off against The Heights at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Heights has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.78 runs per game on average), something Field will no doubt try to take advantage of.
