Ohatchee had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They won by a run and slipped past the Piedmont Bulldogs 5-4. The win was familiar territory for the Indians, who have now won six matchups in a row.

Ohatchee's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-11. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Piedmont, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.
