Holmes's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Brennan Bears 2-1. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Huskies as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Mason Acosta spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits.

On the hitting side, Holmes' win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Raymundo Vasquez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Vasquez has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Holmes' victory bumped their record up to 3-15. As for Brennan, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-7.

Holmes will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bears: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
