Kearns hasn't had much luck against Cyprus recently, but that could start to change  on Monday. Kearns will be playing in front of their home fans against Cyprus  at 3:30  p.m. Kearns is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9  runs per game  this season.
On Thursday, Kearns came up short against Granger  and fell  10-6.
 Maliyah Solomon was cooking despite her team's loss,   scoring two  runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most  runs  she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Rami Hasna, who  scored two  runs while going 3-for-4.
 Solomon wasn't the only one working in the  hit department: Kearns  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 13  hits. This was only their first loss (out of three games) when  they post 11 or more  hits.
Meanwhile, Cyprus entered their tilt with Hunter on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Wolverines  a   2-0 shutout. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win the Pirates have posted  since March 8th.
The result came thanks to  Breelyn ( Bree ) Garcia's shutout, as she gave up just four  hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
 At the plate, Cyprus saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Adelaide ( Addie ) Winn, who  went 2-for-3 with one  RBI.
 Cyprus' victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Kearns, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.
 Kearns might still be hurting after the  16-2 loss they got from Cyprus  in their previous meeting  back in May of 2024. Can Kearns avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
