Baseball Game Preview: Albany Warriors vs. Green City Gophers

The Albany Warriors will face off against the Green City Gophers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

18 must be Albany's lucky number: they beat Pattonsburg with that score not once but twice on Friday. The Warriors beat the Panthers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 18-2. The victory was nothing new for the Warriors as they're now sitting on three straight.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Green City, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Princeton on Friday as they made off with a 10-1 win. The Gophers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matches by seven runs or more this season.

Green City is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 18 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Albany, they pushed their record up to 16-12 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.
