Basketball Game Preview: New Waverly Bulldogs vs. Crockett Bulldogs

The New Waverly Bulldogs are taking a road trip to square off against the Crockett Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

New Waverly is headed into the contest having just suffered their closest defeat since November 22, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Anderson-Shiro by a score of 50-48. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Fighting Owls recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Crockett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a hard 50-34 fall against Trinity.

New Waverly's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 22-6. As for Crockett, they now have a losing record at 10-11.

Everything came up roses for New Waverly against Crockett when the teams last played on January 10th, as the team secured a 63-34 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for New Waverly since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
