Softball Recap: Yorktown Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Yorktown's offense. They lost 10-0 to the Three Rivers Bulldogs on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 21 runs in the game before, the Wildcats' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Yorktown's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Three Rivers, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2-1 record this season.

Yorktown will be taking part in a tournament against Stockdale at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Three Rivers, they will take on Victoria Gators HomeSchool in a tournament on Saturday. Three Rivers is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.
