Volleyball Recap: Stanton Gets the Win

Stanton won the last time they faced Twin River and things went their way on Saturday too. The Mustangs came out on top against the Titans by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Stanton took both sets by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-14.

Stanton found their leader in freshman Hazel Schellpeper, who had six digs and three aces. Those three aces set a new season-high mark for Schellpeper.

Stanton's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Twin River, they dropped their record down to 2-12 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stanton will head out to challenge Wisner-Pilger on Tuesday. As for Twin River, they will venture away from home to square off against Madison on Thursday.
