Volleyball Recap: Union Takes a Loss

Union lost against Potosi back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wildcats came up short against the Trojans, falling 3-0. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-20, 25-20.

Rilynn Wingenbach paced Union's offense, picking up 12 kills. Wingenbach got some help from Morgan Sherwood and her 19 assists. Finally, Wingenbach was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Union's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Potosi, their win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2-1.

Coming up, Union will challenge DeSoto at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Potosi, they will take on Salem at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
