Soccer Recap: South Garland Comes Up Short

After flying high against Lakeview Centennial last Tuesday, South Garland came back down to earth. The South Garland Titans lost 9-0 to the Wylie East Raiders on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now lost six in a row.

South Garland's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Wylie East, they pushed their record up to 12-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Coming up, South Garland and North Garland will meet in a classic North v. South matchup at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. South Garland has given up an average of 3.7 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. As for Wylie East, they will challenge Naaman Forest at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
