Basketball Recap: Mcmullen County Snags Eighth Victory in Last Nine Games

With a playoff win on the line, McMullen County rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They managed a 47-43 win over D'Hanis. This was a revenge game for McMullen County: when they faced off against D'Hanis back in December of 2024, they had to take a 35-33 loss.

It was another big night for Brandon Timms, who posted 26 points. His evening made it nine games in a row in which he has scored at least 21 points. Joseph Timms was another key player, putting up ten points.

McMullen County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 28-9 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 48 points. As for D'Hanis, their defeat dropped their record down to 22-7.

Coming up, McMullen County will square off against Richards at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Richards will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something McMullen County surely won't give up without a fight. D'Hanis does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
