Grady Schmidt Crosses Big Stat Threshold

Huntley Project was led to victory by Grady Schmidt, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Schmidt rushed for 178 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (113.4). That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in August of 2023.

Schmidt's next contest is against Roundup on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid effort. The last time Schmidt took on the Panthers, he rushed for 49 yards and a touchdown. Can he match (or beat) that performance?

Shepherd was sadly handed a loss on Friday, but Wyatt Beddes did his best to prevent it. Beddes turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 13 yards.

Shepherd's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-5. Beddes and Shepherd will face off against Baker at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Connor Wilson Makes It Two for Shepherd

Another Shepherd player making an appearance on this list is Connor Wilson. He rushed for 128 yards. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (102.8). He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 52 yards.

For the year, Wilson has averaged 102.8 rushing yards per game.

While Kai Heck delivered a dominant performance on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Colstrip. Baker had no answer to Heck as he rushed for 75 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 100 yards on five of 12 attempts.

Colstrip dropped their record down to 1-7 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. Heck and Colstrip will be playing in front of their home fans against Joliet at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
