Basketball Recap: Dominic Beebout and Trystan Beebout Secure Win for Valentine

Stuart typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Valentine proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 56-46 win over the Stuart Broncos. Valentine has seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Stuart, too.

Leading Valentine to victory were Trystan Beebout and Dominic Beebout. Trystan went 5 for 12 en route to 14 points in addition to eight rebounds and six assists, while Dominic went 5 of 9 on his way to 14 points. The dominant performance gave Trystan a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Isaac Cronin, who posted nine points and six rebounds.

Stuart lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Drew Schmaderer, who went 5 for 12 en route to 14 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Benjamin Paxton, who went 6 of 8 on his way to 13 points and seven rebounds.

Valentine's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Stuart, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-3.

Valentine has already played their next game, a 57-48 win against Broken Bow on the 24th. As for Stuart, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 67-51 loss against St. Mary's on the 30th.
