Arvin won the last time they faced Golden Valley and things went their way on Monday too. The Bears put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bears.

While Arvin won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 28-26, 25-15.

Arvin can attribute much of their success to Kayleene Pantoja, who had 20 digs and three assists.

Arvin was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in eight consecutive contests.

Despite the loss, Golden Valley still got an impressive performance from Sofia Amaya, who had 16 digs and three aces.

Arvin's record now sits at 19-8-3. As for Golden Valley, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 13-13-1.

Coming up, Arvin will square off against Foothill at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Golden Valley, they will challenge Tehachapi at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
