Baseball Recap: La Junta Comes Up Short

After soaring to 20 runs the game before, La Junta was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They lost 13-1 to the Eaton Reds. The Tigers have struggled against the Reds recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

La Junta saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Denahy, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

La Junta's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Eaton, their win was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2.

La Junta and Eaton will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Tigers will take on rival Lamar at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Eaton is set to challenge their familiar foe Fort Morgan at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
