Baseball Game Preview: Fort Meade Miners vs. Marathon Dolphins

For the second straight game, Fort Meade will face off against Marathon. The Miners will venture away from home to square off against the Dolphins at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Meade's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Marathon's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Fort Meade is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They walked away with a 4-1 win over Marathon.

Andrew Brooks spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Owen Harrell was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Bryce Beam also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Fort Meade's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 16-12. As for Marathon, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-10.
