Football Recap: Strong Performance on D from Landon Goodwin and Bryce Allen Leads Jacksonville over Leeds

Leeds came into Friday's contest looking for another win against Jacksonville, but Kelvin Hughley wouldn't allow it. The Golden Eagles were the clear victors by a 30-7 margin over the Greenwave on Friday for which the team can thank Hughley, who rushed for 109 yards and one score on only seven carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 56 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Jacksonville's defense made their presence known, laying out Sam Lollar eight times. The heavy lifting was done by Landon Goodwin and Bryce Allen, who racked up six sacks between them. Goodwin also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with seven. Qua McNeal got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Special teams was a major factor in the game for Jacksonville, racking up 12 points in total. All came from John Ducar: he went 3-for-3 kicking field goals for nine points, and 3-for-3 again kicking extra points for an additional three.
