Redwood extended their  winning streak to five games  thanks to a huge performance from  Jimmie Burk. The Rangers walked away with  a   26-14  win over the Golden West Trailblazers  on Friday thanks in part to  Burk, who rushed for 71 yards and a pair of  scores. He is also on a roll when it comes to  rushing touchdowns, as he's  now  punched in two or more in each of the last three games he's  played.
 Redwood's defense made their presence known, laying out  Jayden Najera five times. In that department,  Landon Guenter was the leader with two sacks.  Troy Harris was another major factor on D,  picking up  a  sack, making ten total tackles,  and defending two passes.
 Golden West lost  despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was   Cadillac Pina, who picked up 94 receiving yards and one  touchdown.
Redwood's record is now 6-2. As for Golden West, their defeat  ended  a  three-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 6-2.
 Redwood and Golden West should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage  in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Rangers (ranked 117th) will meet El Diamante (ranked 752nd)  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile,  Golden West will  challenge  Monache  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday with a big rank  advantage  (171 vs. 360).
