Football Game Preview: San Jacinto Tigers vs. Aquinas Falcons

The San Jacinto Tigers are taking a road trip to take on the Aquinas Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, San Jacinto was able to grind out a solid win over Cajon, taking the game 23-13. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

The critical scores for San Jacinto came from JORDAN BERNARD, DAISHAUN DAVIS, and JOMINI RANSOM.

San Jacinto didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Cajon to a completion percentage of just 47.8%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from two players: SHAWN GRESHAM and DESEAN GILMORE, who each logged one passes deflected. San Jacinto wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 61.5%.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Aquinas). They really took it to Notre Dame for the full four quarters, racking up a 69-6 victory. The win continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won eight in a row.

San Jacinto better keep an eye on Champ Brown. He was instrumental in Aquinas' win, rushing for 257 yards and four TDs on only five carries. Thanks to that big game, Brown is now up to 9 rushing touchdowns on the season. Charlie Reyes was another key player, throwing for 117 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 passes.

Aquinas' victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for San Jacinto, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
