Football Game Preview: Healdsburg Greyhounds vs. Sonoma Valley Dragons + Official Tickets

The Healdsburg Greyhounds are taking a road trip to challenge the Sonoma Valley Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Healdsburg has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with 15 straight defeats, while Sonoma Valley will come in with eight straight victories.

On Friday, Healdsburg took a blow against Archie Williams, falling 54-6.

Meanwhile, Sonoma Valley was fully in charge on Thursday, breezing past Terra Linda 53-7. Considering the Dragons have won five games by more than 33 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Sonoma Valley's win came from a few key players Healdsburg will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Cayden Waldrop, who rushed for 70 yards and three scores on only nine carries. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last six games he's played. Colin Buckley got in on the action as well, returning a kick for a touchdown.

Healdsburg's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Sonoma Valley, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.

Healdsburg was dealt a bruising 35-7 defeat at the hands of Sonoma Valley in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Can the Greyhounds avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
