Preview: Donegal Indians vs. Lampeter-Strasburg Pioneers
Donegal has been on the road for four straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Lampeter-Strasburg Pioneers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
Donegal suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They were outmatched by Lancaster Catholic on the road and fell 66-37.
Meanwhile, Lampeter-Strasburg waltzed into their contest on Saturday with three straight wins but they left with four. They secured a 52-46 W over Cocalico.
Chase Smucker was his usual excellent self, scoring 26 points. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Dean Herr, who scored five points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Donegal bumped their record down to 5-6 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Lampeter-Strasburg, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.
Donegal came up short against Lampeter-Strasburg in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 54-47.
