Recap: Bayshore Bruins vs. Parrish Community Bulls
The Bayshore Bruins lost against the Parrish Community Bulls back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Bayshore took a 56-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Parrish Community. Bayshore has struggled against Parrish Community recently, as their game on Monday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Bayshore's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Demetrios Kimon, who scored 18 points along with 7 rebounds. Another player making a difference was William Strawbridge, who scored 10 points.
Dylan Higgins was on fire for Parrish Community: he scored 31 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Higgins has scored at least 25% of Parrish Community's points. Malakai Cuffy was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 6 assists and 3 steals.
Bayshore's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Parrish Community, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bayshore will take on Manatee at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Parrish Community, they will be playing in front of their home fans against IMG Academy Silver at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. IMG Academy Silver will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 263rd, while Parrish Community is ranked 65th).
