Llano proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 12) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Comfort Bobcats/Deer 16-15. The Yellowjackets haven't had any issues with the Bobcats/Deer recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Llano let Gracyn Sanchez and Emilie Clopton run wild. Sanchez went 3-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs, while Clopton went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. That's the most RBI Clopton has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Jaci Smith, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Llano's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Comfort, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Llano beat Comfort by a score of 18-12 on Tuesday.
