Basketball Recap: Bethel Takes a Loss

Bethel suffered their closest defeat since February 13, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of the Huguenot Falcons by a score of 56-53. The Bruins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Huguenot's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trevion Brown, who went 6 of 8 on his way to 17 points and eight boards. Brown is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Ra'Sean Miller was another key player, putting up nine points and three steals.

Bethel now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Huguenot, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-9.

Looking ahead, Bethel will be playing at home against Menchville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Huguenot, they will venture away from home to square off against Clover Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Huguenot is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.5 points per game this season.
