Basketball Game Preview: Canyon Comanches vs. La Habra Highlanders

The Canyon Comanches will head out to square off against the La Habra Highlanders at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Canyon knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully La Habra likes a good challenge.

On Friday, Canyon was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 61-60 to Cypress. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Comanches came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 27th, while the Centurions are ranked 134th).

Meanwhile, La Habra was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 57-53 heartbreaker at the hands of Crean Lutheran.

La Habra's loss dropped their record down to 18-8. As for Canyon, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-7.

Canyon strolled past La Habra in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a score of 81-64. The rematch might be a little tougher for Canyon since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
