Basketball Recap: Newberg Takes a Loss

Newberg was the 55-41 winner over Hillsboro when they last played one another back in December of 2017, but their luck changed this time around. The Newberg Tigers took a 53-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hillsboro Spartans on Tuesday. The Tigers' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Newberg's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Newberg will square off against Roseburg at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Newberg is facing Roseburg at the right time seeing as Roseburg is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Hillsboro, they will take on North Salem at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
