Basketball Game Preview: East Mountain Timberwolves vs. Cuba Rams

The East Mountain Timberwolves will challenge the Cuba Rams at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cuba took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on East Mountain, who comes in off a win.

East Mountain took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They walked away with a 58-47 win over Cottonwood Classical Prep.

Meanwhile, Cuba was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 52-47 to Sandia Prep. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

East Mountain's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 13-7. As for Cuba, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-12.

East Mountain came up short against Cuba in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 53-46. Can East Mountain avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
