Baseball Recap: Wilson Prep Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Wilson Prep came tearing into Monday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the North Edgecombe Warriors 9-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 on Monday.

Abdiel Josiah Tavarez was a standout: he scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1. Zac Long was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

Wilson Prep was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .667. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March of 2024.

Wilson Prep pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for North Edgecombe, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.
