Volleyball Game Preview: Lehi Pioneers vs. Skyridge Falcons

The Lehi Pioneers will take on the Skyridge Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Lone Peak came into Thursday's matchup looking for another win against Lehi, but Ty Reynolds wouldn't allow it. The Pioneers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Knights on Thursday for which the team can thank Reynolds, who had 11 digs and two aces. He is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 13 or more in each of the last 36 games he's played dating back to last season.

The win didn't come easy: Lone Peak scored at least 21 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-21, 26-24.

Meanwhile, Skyridge came into Thursday's game having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over American Fork on Thursday.

Skyridge had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 14-25, 26-24, 25-17, 25-23.

Skyridge's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 4-10. As for Lehi, their victory bumped their record up to 12-2.

Lehi came out on top in a nail-biter against Skyridge in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Pioneers repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
