Volleyball Recap: Hinkley Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hinkley can now relate to. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mountain View Mountain Lions on Friday. The Thunder just can't catch a break and have now endured seven losses in a row.

Luis Rangel Cepeda paced Hinkley's offense, picking up ten kills. Rangel Cepeda got some help from Sanip Rai and his 21 assists.

Hinkley's defeat dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Mountain View, their victory bumped their record up to 14-10.

Coincidentally, Hinkley and Mountain View will both be playing Denver Waldorf the next time they take the court. The Thunder will head out to face the Spartans at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, while the Mountain Lions will play them later in the day, at 2:30 p.m.
