Baseball Game Preview: Coronado Islanders vs. Madison Warhawks

For the second straight game, Coronado will face off against Madison. The Islanders will square off against the Warhawks at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Coronado's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Madison's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Coronado took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Madison a 4-0 shutout.

For Madison's part, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack O'Toole, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Coronado has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Madison, with the defeat, they broke their 12-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-4.
