Volleyball Recap: Highland Home Takes a Loss

Highland Home was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Dale County Warriors.

Dale County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaslyn Smith, who had seven kills and three blocks. Smith is crushing it when it comes to blocks: she's had at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Emma Grace Rhoden was another key player, getting five kills, five digs, and two aces.

Highland Home now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Dale County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2.

Coming up, Highland Home will challenge Pike Liberal Arts at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dale County, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Rehobeth on the 30th.
