Volleyball Recap: Richfield Comes Up Short

Richfield lost against Spanish Fork back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Wildcats lost 3-0 to the Dons. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-20, 25-20.

Jerzy Moon paced Richfield's offense, picking up 12 kills. Moon got some help from Adrie Seely and her 25 assists. Seely was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Spanish Fork can attribute much of their success to Taryn Benson, who had 11 digs and three assists. That's the most digs Benson has posted since back in November of 2024.

Richfield now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Spanish Fork, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Richfield will square off against Grantsville at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Spanish Fork, they have already played their next game, a 3-0 win against North Sevier on the 16th.
