Soccer Game Preview: Irving vs. Dallas Jesuit

The Irving Tigers will take on the Dallas Jesuit Rangers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

It was a proper cat-fight when Irving duked it out with Lake Highlands on Tuesday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked the Tigers' first draw of the season.

Meanwhile, Dallas Jesuit came tearing into Tuesday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.4 goals) and they left with even more momentum. Their defense stepped up to hand the Vikings an 8-0 shutout. Give the Rangers' defense some credit: that's the team's sixth straight shutout.

Dallas Jesuit's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-1-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those three contests. Irving's draw makes their record 9-1-1 this season.
