Baseball Recap: Holly Wildcats vs. Wiley Panthers        
        
		
            
 On Tuesday, while Holly put up some  runs, the same  can't be said for Wiley. The Holly Wildcats were the clear victor by  a  10-0 margin over the Wiley Panthers. Winning may never get old, but Holly sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
  Truman King made a splash no matter where he played. He  tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. King has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in four consecutive pitching appearances. King was also stellar in the batter's box,  firing off two  home runs, four  RBI,  and a  double while going 4-for-4.
 King wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Dylan Tamayo, who  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Reuben Maldonado, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Like Holly, Wiley also got a great game from a two-way player:  Evan Larrick. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out seven batters over  2.2 innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   three  hits (and only one walk). Larrick was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-2 with three  stolen bases and a  double.
 Larrick wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  one players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Mario Gonzalez, who  went 1-for-2 with two  stolen bases.
 Holly now  has a winning record of 6-5. As for Wiley, they have  fallen quite a ways from their 14-7 record last season and are now  at 3-6.
 Holly will be playing in front of their home fans against Cheyenne Wells at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. Holly knows how to get  runs on the board -- the  squad has finished with flashy  run totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Cheyenne Wells likes a good challenge. As for Wiley, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Manzanola at 2:00  p.m.  on Friday. Manzanola is coming into the  contest with seven straight  defeats at home,  meaning Wiley will have to defend against a  team hungry for a  victory.
