It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Union County ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They won by a run and slipped past the Chester Cyclones 3-2. The Yellowjackets haven't had any issues with the Cyclones recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Union County's victory bumped their record up to 6-18. As for Chester, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-11-1 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Union County will take on Spartanburg at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Chester, they will challenge Mid-Carolina at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cyclones will need to watch out since the Rebels have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
