Football Recap: Calhoun Takes a Loss

Calhoun was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were dealt a 63-26 loss at the hands of the Buffalo Bison. The Red Devils were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bison from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Calhoun lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Charter Cottrell, who rushed for 106 yards and one touchdown on only 14 carries. Brennen Carpenter was another key player, rushing for 147 yards.

Calhoun's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Buffalo, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Calhoun will head out to face off against Clay County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Buffalo, they will venture away from home to square off against Braxton County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
