Softball Recap: Westmont Hilltop Makes It Nine in a Row at Home

Westmont Hilltop won the last time they faced River Valley and things went their way on Monday too. The Hilltoppers walked away with a 13-9 victory over the Panthers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hilltoppers.

The team relied heavily on Bella Kist, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Lamya Stevens was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Westmont Hilltop hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in four consecutive matchups.

Westmont Hilltop's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-3. As for River Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-3 record this season.
