Basketball Recap: Fabens Now 7-2 over Last Nine Games

Fabens won the last time they faced Harmony Science Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The Fabens Wildcats secured a 36-30 W over Harmony Science Academy. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Fabens had a senior duo take command as Destiny Barraza posted nine points along with six steals and five boards and Christine Lechuga dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Those five boards gave Barraza a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Angel Quinonez, who put up two points and seven steals.

Fabens is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Harmony Science Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fabens will take on Immanuel Christian in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Harmony Science Academy and Tornillo will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
