Softball Recap: Udall Gets the Win

Udall's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They came out on top against the South Sumner [Caldwell/South Haven] Outlaws by a score of 4-1. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Outlaws, too.

Aliya Wolf made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double was her first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Breana Maxwell, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2025. Addison Robinson also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Udall's record now sits at 2-4. As for South Sumner [Caldwell/South Haven], the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 6-5 record.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Outlaws beat Udall by a score of 9-3 later that day.
