Basketball Recap: Crawford County Skates Past Furlow Charter School with Ease

Crawford County won the last time they faced Furlow Charter School and things went their way on Saturday too. The Crawford County Eagles simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Furlow Charter School Falcons 68-30.

Crawford County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chadrick Price, who posted 11 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Bryant Evans, who put up seven points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals.

Crawford County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in five consecutive games.

Furlow Charter School's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Robert Angrish, who earned six points and three steals. Angrish is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played. Braylon Smothers was another key player, putting up five points.

Crawford County's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-15. As for Furlow Charter School, they are on a 39-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-20.

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Crawford County Eagles duke it out with the Central Hawks at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Crawford County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.4 points per game this season. Furlow Charter School has already played their next contest, an 87-24 loss against Chattahoochee County on the 3rd.
