            The Poway Titans will be taking part in a tournament against the Victory Christian Academy Knights  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. Poway will be strutting in after a  win while Victory Christian Academy will be coming in after a  loss.
Having struggled with three  defeats in a row, Poway  turned things around against Mt. Carmel  on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Sundevils with a sharp  3-0 victory. The Titans not only won  on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win  since February 25th (when they won  3-0).
 The  win didn't come easy: Mt. Carmel scored at least 18 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-18,  25-18.
Meanwhile,  Victory Christian Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their  three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell  3-1 to The Cambridge School.
 The  loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive:  The Cambridge School scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 26-28, 25-17,  25-19.
 Poway will need to focus on slowing down  Brad Chier, one of several Victory Christian Academy players who made an impact when they last played. He  had 20  kills, 12  digs,  and two  aces. Chier has been hot for a while, having  posted seven or more  kills the last 21 times he's  played.  Esteban Torres was another key player,  getting 38  assists and seven  digs.
 Victory Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Poway, their victory bumped their record up to 19-14.
