Basketball Game Preview: Dixie Flyers vs. Pine View Panthers

Dixie has gone 9-1 against Pine View recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Flyers will challenge the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Dixie's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven contests.

Dixie is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Pine View, who was ranked 21st at the time (Dixie was ranked 20th). The Flyers walked away with a 60-52 win over the Panthers on Thursday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dixie to victory, but perhaps none more so than Collin Simmons, who almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine boards. Simmons is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last 13 games he's played. Asher Spence was another key player, going 7-for-12 on his way to 22 points.

Dixie pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Pine View, their win bumped their record up to 13-5.
