General Trass extended their postseason success on Friday against Jeanerette. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Jeanerette Tigers , sneaking past 36-34. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
General Trass had a senior duo take command as Ahmoniee Williams rushed for 190 yards and two touchdowns and Anton Davis gained 175 total yards and three touchdowns. Williams also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making seven total tackles in addition to snagging an interception.
General Trass didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as J'Bion Newson, Williams, and Amarea Reynolds picked up one apiece. Williams' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 106 rushing yards. Another thorn in Jeanerette's side was Kevin Perkins, who picked up two sacks, forced a fumble, and made eight total tackles (4.0 for loss).
General Trass was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 420 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 167 rushing yards in seven consecutive games.
General Trass is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.
