Volleyball Recap: Animas Comes Up Short

Animas came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Hatch Valley Bears. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Bears: they've now lost four in a row.

Animas took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-15, 25-23.

Animas' loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Hatch Valley, with the victory, they broke their six-match losing streak and moved their record to 5-13.

Animas wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Quemado on the 25th. As for Hatch Valley, they will challenge Socorro at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
