Soccer Game Preview: Oak Mountain vs. Sparkman

The Oak Mountain Eagles will venture away from home to challenge the Sparkman Senators at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Oak Mountain's last four matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Oak Mountain is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alabama's top teams: Hoover, who was ranked 13th at the time (Oak Mountain was ranked first). The Eagles' defense stepped up to hand the Bucs a 1-0 shutout on Tuesday. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Oak Mountain were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Sparkman was able to grind out a solid win over Albertville on Friday, taking the game 3-1. Sparkman haven't had any issues with Albertville recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Oak Mountain's record is now 20-1-1. As for Sparkman, their record now sits at 9-3-3.
