Hamshire-Fannett waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 37-16 margin over the Shepherd Pirates. That's more bragging rights for the Longhorns, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Blake Broussard threw for 190 yards and one TD on perfect 13-for-13 passing. Pierce Pirtle was his top target, picking up 56 receiving yards. On the ground, Jess Folsom rushed for 107 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 13 carries.

Despite the loss, Shepherd still got an impressive performance from Landen Dellinger, who rushed for 100 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 118 yards on only nine passes. Dellinger's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 100 rushing yards.

Hamshire-Fannett's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Shepherd, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-2.
