Softball Recap: Cooper Comes Up Short

Cooper lost against Abilene back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cougars lost 11-1 to the Eagles.

Cooper saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddie Fry, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

Cooper's loss dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Abilene, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 14-7.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Cooper will square off against rival Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Abilene is set to take on their familiar foe Legacy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
