Football Game Preview: Bertrand Vikings vs. Maywood/Hayes Center Wolves

The Bertrand Vikings will square off against the Maywood/Hayes Center Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Bertrand and 12 for Maywood/Hayes Center dating back to last season.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 60-28, which was the final score in Bertrand's tilt against Loomis on Friday.

Meanwhile, Maywood/Hayes Center played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 54-6 loss at the hands of Hitchcock County. The Wolves were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-0.

Maywood/Hayes Center's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Bertrand, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Bertrand strolled past Maywood/Hayes Center in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a score of 26-7. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
