Volleyball Recap: Huron Tigers vs. Galion Tigers
After flying high against Clear Fork last Thursday, Huron came back down to earth. The Huron Tigers fell just short of the Galion Tigers by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. Huron was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Galion apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.
In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Huron sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-16, 24-26, 27-25, 20-25, 15-11.
Despite the defeat, Huron saw an underclassman step up: Adelyn Van Sickle had 33 digs.
Huron's loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Galion, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-10.
Huron does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Galion, they will take on Willard at 5:55 p.m. on Thursday. Willard is coming into the contest with ten straight victories on the road, so Galion will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
